The Silent Struggles of Women and Girls in Gaza
Women and girls in Gaza are enduring overwhelming hardships as the ongoing crisis continues to strip away their most basic needs. Many struggle to access essential hygiene products such as sanitary pads, clean water, and personal care items—resources that are critical for maintaining dignity and health.
Beyond physical needs, the emotional toll is severe. With constant displacement, trauma, and fear, access to mental health support has become nearly impossible, leaving many women and girls without the care they desperately need.
Nutrition is another deep concern. Food shortages and malnutrition are spreading, affecting mothers, pregnant women, and young girls most of all. Many are forced to prioritize survival over their own health, leading to long-term risks and complications.
In the midst of this devastating reality, their strength is remarkable—but their health, safety, and dignity remain deeply at risk. From maintaining personal hygiene to accessing emotional support and proper nutrition, many are struggling to protect their health, dignity, and wellbeing. Many women lack access to basic hygiene products that impact their personal health and dignity, mental health support to cope with trauma and stress, and essential nutrition for pregnant and breastfeeding mothers, putting both maternal and child health at risk.
